The chatter in SecondLife, done in text that everyone within “earshot” (25 meters) can read, makes an interesting backdrop to the speakers on the video screen. Someone on the ground at Stanford who’s also in SecondLife just said there are about 150 people at the Metaverse U conference. There are 72 people attending in SecondLife. Mike Liebhold from Institute for the Future just finished speaking, following Jerry Pfaffendorf from the Metaverse Roadmap project.
