Linden Lab does the right thing
Written on April 9, 2008 by Katherine W. Prawl
Following the comment on this site from Catherine Smith, Marketing Director at Linden Lab, apologizing for the mistaken impression left by the voiceover in the video shown to the House Telecommunications & Internet Committee, I’ve been contacted by Goldie of Goldie and Silver, the company who produced the machinima. They are replacing some of the narration with this:
The private, nonprofit International Spaceflight Museum makes public access to space exploration a virtual reality, bringing space to people instead of taking people out to space, and hosting exhibits and events about real-world spacecraft, rockets and space travel.
So, now if Linden Lab will send a letter to the committee, asking to have a correction inserted into the Congressional Record, we will call the score even on this matter.

We’re sorry the mistake happened in the first place, and are glad to have the chance to make the correction noted above so that ISM is properly recognized for its excellent educational attractions in Second Life. It may take a few days. Thanks for being good to work with, Kat. One small thing, since we’re on the subject of correcting attribution, the correct name of our firm is Machinima by Silver and Goldie. Best regards, Goldie.
